Montabaur is easily reached by its ICE train station. There are direct connections to, for example, Frankfurt and Frankfurt Airport, Cologne or Cologne-Bonn and Düsseldorf, as well as Wiesbaden, Mainz, Heidelberg and Stuttgart. In the direction of Cologne you will be served by the DB in one-hour intervals with ICE connections.

From the train station you can reach the castle of Montabaur in about 10 minutes on foot. Take the exit towards the center. You leave the train station and walk straight over a pedestrian bridge and go to a roundabout. Opposite the NETTO food chain, a street leads up the Schlossberg to Montabaur Castle (note the white signs).
Especially in the case of heavy baggage, however, we recommend you take a taxi, as the climb to the castle mountain is very steep. Our tip: Taxi-Selker (Tel .: 02602/3548) will take you to the castle quickly and reliably.
Upon your arrival, please contact our reception in front of the main building. There you will receive your room key, which also gives you access to the other rooms. You will also receive additional information for your stay.
