Directions

Montabaur Castle is located in the heart of the Westerwald. Centrally located between the Rhine-Main and Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan areas, the castle can be easily reached via the A3 and the Montabaur ICE train station.

Arriving by car

Coming by car from the A3, drive towards the center and then follow the signs "Schloss Montabaur" to the Academy of German Cooperatives ADG. If using a navigation device, please enter "Schlossweg" or the coordinates 50°26'19" N, 7° 49'34" E as the destination address.

When you arrive, drive up to the reception, which welcomes you in front of the main building. There you will receive your room key, which also gives you access to the other rooms and the respective parking spaces and garages. You will also receive additional information for your stay here.

DiRections

Montabaur is easily accessible via its ICE train station. There are direct connections to, among others, Frankfurt or Frankfurt Airport, Cologne or Cologne-Bonn Airport and Düsseldorf as well as to Wiesbaden, Mainz, Heidelberg and Stuttgart. In the direction of Cologne, the DB serves you with ICE connections every one hour.

Coming from the train station, you can reach Montabaur Castle in about 10 minutes on foot. You take the exit towards the center. You leave the station and walk straight ahead over a footbridge and walk towards a roundabout. Opposite the discounter NETTO, a road takes you up the Schlossberg to Montabaur Castle (note the white signs).

We recommend taking a taxi, especially if you have heavy luggage, as the climb up the Schlossberg is very steep. Our tip: Taxi-Selker (Tel.: 02602/3548) will take you quickly and reliably to the castle.
